In my last post, I told you that if the devil had his way, he’d keep you hopeless at all times. He’d beat you down in your circumstances to make you feel discouraged. He’d blame your unholiness as the reason your life is experiencing trouble. He’d paint your life in God as shallow, trying to bury you under false condemnation, and lying that your future holds nothing but darkness.
Hopelessness and discouragement are weapons of Satan to beat us down and destroy us. Hope is the opposite of that! Hope is the spark to everything good and from God. Hope is the spark to faith that pushes the enemy out and brings God’s promises, wisdom and encouragement, and help to the scene!
Jesus always offers hope! His love toward you is tender. He is called the Blessed Hope. Jesus is the spark of hope that grows and fans your faith that will ultimately lead you to God’s help and deliverance in your life. So, when you are feeling hopeless, it’s time to refresh that spark of blessed hope!
But first we need to understand hope in it’s working. Romans 8:24-25 gives us insight saying. “…But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”
Hope isn’t seen. The spark of hope is what is ignited in your heart as you read God’s word and His precious promises to you. As hope is kindled, it sets fire to your faith—you believing what God has promised in His word. Faith is the gateway to a relationship with God and all of His promises and miracles. That spark of hope leads to faith in God’s Word and promises manifesting in your life! It’s in those moments that you realize Jesus, our Blessed Hope, is calling out to you saying “Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24 (NKJV)
He calls out to let us know He that has got His eye—representing His caring and compassionate and merciful heart, upon us! He says to us, “The eyes of the Lord are on those who reverence Him, on those whose HOPE is in His unfailing love—His unfailing mercy.” Psalm 33:18
God’s word teaches and reminds us that we are those who can have hope! Hope in the “Blessed Hope.” His Word was written for that very purpose—to give and continually rekindle our hope in a loving God and Savior Jesus Christ, whose mercy is greater than your ability to live perfectly right before Him.
No matter what has transpired to discourage you, YOU ARE NOT HOPELESS and God has not abandoned you! Let these verses of hope spark your hope in the Blessed Hope so that you may be refreshed, have faith, draw courage, and see the hand of God supernaturally deliver you again and again, turning what the devil meant for evil, instead for good toward you!
Romans 15:4 “Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. They give us HOPE and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.” (NLT)
In His love,
