Fresh Mannaby Pastor Tim BurtLive for Today  (Author Unknown)There are two days in every week that we should not worry about; two days that should be kept free from fear and apprehension. One is yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the power in the world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed, nor can we erase a single word we've said, for yesterday is gone! Of course, this is the very reason Jesus taught this truth in Matthew 6:27 (NIV): "Who of you, by worrying, can add a single hour to his life?"The other day we shouldn't worry about is tomorrow with its impossible adversaries, its burden, its hopeful promise, and poor performance.Tomorrow is beyond our control and tomorrow's sun will rise either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, however it will rise and until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow for it is yet unborn. This is the very reason Jesus taught this truth in Matthew 6:34 (NLT): “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” This leaves only one day—today. Any person can fight the battles of just one day. It is only when we add the burdens of yesterday and tomorrow that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people to despair; it is the remorse of bitterness for something that happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring. So, therefore . . . live and enjoy one day at a time, and that day is today.Psalms 118:24 (NIV) “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”In His love,Pastor Tim Burt
