Fresh Mannaby Pastor Tim BurtThe Barber Author Unknown

"I don't believe God exists," the barber said."Why do you say that?" the customer asked."Well, just look around. If God existed, would there be so many sick people? So many abandoned children? If God were real, there wouldn’t be so much suffering and pain. I can’t believe in a God who would allow all of that."The customer paused for a moment, considering the barber’s words. Not wanting to start an argument, he remained silent. The barber finished the haircut, and the customer paid and left the shop.As he stepped outside, the customer noticed a man with long, dirty, unkempt hair and a scraggly beard walking down the street. Turning back, he went into the barbershop again."You know what?" the customer said to the barber. "Barbers don’t exist."The barber, surprised, responded, "What do you mean? I’m right here. I just gave you a haircut.""No," the customer replied. "If barbers existed, people wouldn’t have long, dirty hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.""Ah, but barbers do exist!" said the barber. "The problem is, people don’t come to me.""Exactly," said the customer. "And that's the point. God exists, too—the problem is, people don’t go to Him."
