Psalm 8:2“From the mouth of little children, You have taught them to praise You perfectly. May their example shame and silence Your enemies!”

From the Mouth of Babes

(Author Unknown)

A little girl and the whale
A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher insisted it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human, because even though a whale is a very large mammal, its throat is too small.

The little girl replied, “But Jonah was swallowed by a whale.”

Irritated, the teacher repeated, “A whale cannot swallow a human!”

The girl answered calmly, “When I get to Heaven, I’ll ask Jonah.”

The teacher shot back, “What if Jonah went to hell?”

The little girl responded, “Then you ask him.”

Drawing God
A kindergarten teacher walked around the room as her class drew pictures.
When she reached one little girl who was working intently, she asked, “What are you drawing?”

Without looking up, the girl said, “I’m drawing God.”

The teacher gently replied, “But no one knows what God looks like.”

Still coloring, the girl said, “Calm down… they will in a minute.”

Why Grandma’s hair is white
A little girl sat watching her mother wash dishes.
She noticed several strands of white hair in her mother’s brunette hair.

“Mommy, why are some of your hairs white?” she asked.

Her mother answered, “Every time you do something wrong and make me sad or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white.”

The little girl thought for a moment and asked,
“Then how come all of Grandma’s hairs are white?”

Class picture
The children had all been photographed, and the teacher tried to persuade them to buy a copy of the group picture.

“Just think,” she said, “how nice it will be when you’re all grown up to look at this picture and say, ‘There’s Jennifer — she’s a lawyer,’ or ‘There’s Michael — he’s a doctor.’”

A small voice from the back of the room added,
“And there’s the teacher — she’s dead.”

God is watching
The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic school.
At the head of the table was a large pile of apples.
A nun taped a note to the tray:

“Take only ONE. God is watching.”

Further down the line, at the other end of the table, was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.

A child had written a note:
“Take all you want. God is watching the apples.”
