Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your loved ones!

Renee and I wanted to reach out and simply say thank you for the love, prayers, and support you’ve shown this ministry. Because of you, our increase in reaching others with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ, with the instruction and encouragement from His word, has increased and expanded further around the world for His glory. It would not be possible without people like you, and we thank you so very much for it.

In 2018, Fresh Manna continued to go out four times per week. It has now reached into 217 countries which is mind-boggling to us.

Reaching 217 countries with the gospel and the love of the Lord

I’ve now been writing Fresh Manna for 18 years. Between writing Fresh Manna and sharing scripture and inspiration on Twitter, our reach has grown between 4 to 6 million people virally on a daily basis and occasionally reaching 8 million. I could send you a volume of notes from people who have expressed appreciation, testimonies, stories of life-change, and salvations from reading Fresh Manna and Twitter. When I first started writing, I knew I was simply planting seeds in the lives of many who had never read a Bible, but I could not have imagined this kind of fruit. We give God the glory for it.

I spend an average of 14 hours writing Fresh Manna per week, and another 16 hours writing and responding to people on social media. It has been a tremendous way to live out this new season of life since resigning from 35 years of pastoring.

Renee and I both still speak out and minister in churches. I do limited church consulting. Renee leads missions trips, some of which I join her in. And we are having an ever-increasing impact on the mission field. In addition to reaching Peru, with the help of two precious pastors and friends of ours, Pastors Dave and Jeanne Kaufman from Brookings, South Dakota, we are now also reaching into India and Africa. We also support an amazing inner city outreach in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with Pastors Mike and Vicki Bang.  We also worked with  business/missionary friends Jeff and Lauren Matt, who were recently in India preaching the gospel and ministering to the poor. We provided 100 blankets that they went out on the streets to the homeless and gave out. All of these meet our goals of reaching the world with the gospel, and reaching the unsaved, hurting, and impoverished with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ.

I’ve said this before and will keep saying it because it always seems to be on people’s minds. We don’t take any salary from this ministry. To the contrary, we contribute our own funds into it. Every penny of what you donate is used first and foremost to reach the mission field, aiding missionaries and reaching out and ministering to the needs of the impoverished in third world countries. We continue to keep the administrative costs associated with Fresh Manna at a bare minimum, which is the still the largest way we reach people with the gospel so that every dollar you give is truly all about missions. We are experiencing tremendous fruit and because of your prayers and giving, the fruit we see daily is your fruit also. 

2019 will start strong. There will  be a missions trip to Peru and India, in January that we know will bring blessing to many!

We pray that your  2019 is blessed with joy unspeakable! 1 Peter 1:8 “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.” We pray for you and your loved ones daily and ask God to bless you for your generosity.  We pray that God speaks to and brings His guidance to your heart for the steps in your life that lie ahead. We pray that His favor and grace helps you overcome every obstacle, and that you will bear fruit in all God has called you to do. Thank you again for this generous gift and God bless you richly!

Proverbs 19:17: “Whoever is generous to the poor, leads to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed!”
